I am a recovering anorexic. I have finally put on weight but I absolutely hate my body. I don't see anyone in magazines with disproportionate bodies (I have a small frame with large hips that don't fit my thin arms/torso and small legs, I think it's called the pear shape?) and I struggle daily with the desire to go back to starving myself. I just want to see women who look like ME, who come in many shapes and sizes. Thanks for creating a photo of real women. It's a good start! :) <3
P.S. I want to point out that when I was anorexic, my body looked proportionate (I looked ill, but my body was proportionate and model-sized.) I was literally prepared to die to look "perfect". Most women, in order to be healthy and strong and their best, will not have proportionate, model-thin bodies and be healthy. Let's show real women, all types and sizes and ethnicities, being real women! Imagine a world where all women loves themselves exactly as they are! That's a world I want to live in...
beautiful <3 It's about time advertisements were used for something other than to promote self-hatred and dissatisfaction. I've decided to save one of these to my wallpaper to combat the negative messages... hopefully it will be enough
